Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto Oceanográfico (IO)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Oceanography from the Oceanographic Institute of the University of São Paulo (IOUSP) and Master in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). During graduation, he developed scientific initiation projects in the area of #8203;#8203;Geological Oceanography, with emphasis on studies in paleoclimatology and paleoceanography through statistical analysis applied to stratigraphic data. His master's thesis focused on the evaluation of connectivity patterns in Brazilian coral reefs based on larval dispersal models, as well as their potential influence on the variation in tolerance to thermal stress estimated by satellite. Worked as a research assistant at the Multi-User Laboratory for Ocean Monitoring by Satellite (MOceanS), assisting in the meteoceanographic characterization of the Santos Basin based on remote sensing products and identification of marine heatwaves. He is currently a doctoral student at the Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where he studies coastal ecosystems and coral reefs.
