He served as head of the Department of Geophysics at IAG/USP from May 2009 to May 2013. He was Vice-President of the Research Commission at IAG/USP from July 2019 to September 2020, and from October 2020 to June 2023, he was President of the Research Commission at IAG/USP and a member of the Research Council at USP. Currently, he is the head of the Department of Geophysics at IAG/USP (April 2023 to April 2025). He established the Test Site (SCGR-I) at IAG/USP in 2002 with support from FAPESP, and in 2016, he established SCGR-II with support from COMGÁS. He coordinated a Development Research Project for CNPq-PVE and several research projects supported by FAPESP in areas such as archaeology, mineral exploration, hydrogeology, and urban planning. He currently coordinates a Research Project Support by FAPESP related to Underwater Archaeological Studies in Eastern Amazon using GPR, Side Scan Sonar, and Bathymetry methods. He is the Principal Investigator in the CCD-Center for Science and Development project focusing on Water and Food Security in Critical Zones in São Paulo State. He has provided consultancy services to PETROBRAS, ANEEL, METRÔ-Consórcio Via Amarela, PETROGAL, COMGÁS, and Mineração Corrêa Ltda. He has supervised various research projects in Scientific Initiation, Undergraduate Theses, Master's, PhD, and Postdoctoral studies. He has taught various GPR courses at universities and companies, covering the physical and mathematical principles of GPR, as well as its main applications and limitations. He participated in humanitarian geophysical work to optimize search efforts in the area affected by the dam collapse in Brumadinho, MG. He has dozens of articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His expertise lies in Geosciences, with emphasis on Applied Geophysics for geological, geotechnical, environmental, hydrogeological, natural resource exploration, urban planning, and archaeological studies. His research interests include GPR-Ground Penetrating Radar, TDEM-Time Domain Electromagnetics, ER-Electrical Resistivity, and MT-Magnetotellurics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
