Michel Mingote Ferreira de Azara

Adjunct professor at the Department of Literature at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). He is a permanent professor of the professional master's degree in Literature, PROFLETRAS/UFJF. Started post-doctoral internship (Interrupted due to appointment at UFJF) in the area of #8203;#8203;Comparative Literature, with the Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies, of the Institute of Biosciences, Letters and Exact Sciences - São José do Rio Preto Campus (UNESP), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Arnaldo Franco Júnior. He has a post-doctorate in Comparative Literature from USP (Fapesp Scholarship), carried out at the Department of Classical and Vernacular Literature, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mauricio Salles de Vasconcelos (2018-2021). PhD in comparative literature and literary theory from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2015), with a sandwich period (2013-2014) at the Paris-Sorbonne University, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Leonardo Tonus. He has a Master's degree in literature theory, literature and other semiotic systems, from Ufmg (2010) and a Bachelor's degree in Literature, also from Ufmg (2008). In 2015-2016 he worked as a Foreign Language Reader at the University of Strasbourg, in France. He works mainly on the following themes: Literature, other Arts and Media, contemporary literature and cinema, literature and visual arts, landscapes, black diaspora, blackness, contemporary Antillean thought.
