Abstract
The purpose of this project is to analyze under a new light a picture painted by Tiziano Vecellio in 1552, belonging to the Art Museum of São Paulo. The work represents the Cardinal Cristoforo Madruzzo (1512-1567), Archbishop-prince in the city of Trento, and host of the famous ecumenical Council, happening among 1545 and 1563, that adopted the name of that city.
