PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of São Paulo (2024), with a master's degree in Bioinformatics and a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the same institution, with a post-doctoral stint at the Biodiversity Heritage Library (Smithsonian Institution, 2024-2025). He is a member of the International Society for Biocuration, Wikimedia Brazil and co-founder of the Brazilian Network of Naturalists, an organization that supports education, dissemination and research through the use of the iNaturalist platform.The researcher's background includes short research internships in ecotoxicology at Fiocruz-RJ (2011), neuroscience at UFRJ (2012) and the Weizmann Institute (2014), zebrafish developmental biology at the University of Zurich (2015), USP (2015) and the Vienna BioCenter (2017). He led the USP-Brazil team in the iGEM synthetic biology competition also in 2017, having completed his thesis on bacterial competition in the genus Xanthomonas (IQ-USP). In 2020, in Prof. Helder Nakaya's lab, he defended a dissertation on the development of an R package, fcoex, for coexpression analysis in single-cell RNA-seq data. In 2024, he defended his doctoral thesis on the use of Wikidata and formal knowledge representation in databases for information management in the context of the Human Cell Atlas project. After her doctorate, she then worked at the Biodiversity Heritage Library (Washington, US) on structuring metadata for a database of biological illustrations. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
