Angélica Luana Carrillo Barra

Technological Development Analyst at the National Biorenewables Laboratory (LNBR/CNPEM) working on the bioconversion of aromatics from lignin. She is a PhD in Sciences (2023) from the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC/USP). She was a scholarship holder in the partnership project between Esalq/USP and Stoller do Brasil Ltda. for studies of effector molecules. She interned at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Citrus Culture Center (IAC) where she was responsible for conducting co-immunoprecipitation assays using effector molecules from citrus pathogens. Graduated in Physical and Biomolecular Sciences (2017) from IFSC/USP. Has experience in molecular biology (PCR, RT-qPCR, cloning), microbiology (culture of fungi and bacteria, growth inhibition), expression of recombinant proteins, protein purification, biophysical and biochemical characterizations of proteins (Enzyme kinetics, CD, DLS, DSF, SAXS, SEC-MALS, Crystallography).
