Anna Leticia Turtelli Pighinelli holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering (FEAGRI) from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where she also completed a master's degree in the Agricultural Machinery Department. She further pursued a PhD as a FAPESP scholarship recipient in the Agricultural Engineering Institute at UNICAMP. Her doctoral research was part of the FAPESP project focused on the comprehensive utilization of the seeds of the Jatropha Curcas for biodiesel production.During her undergraduate studies, Anna Leticia completed an internship at the Sugarcane Technology Center (CTC), where she conducted experiments on straw collection during the mechanized harvesting of sugarcane. Throughout her master's and doctoral studies, she engaged in research at the Food Technology Institute (ITAL) within the Chemistry Center.Since 2011, Anna Leticia has been working as a research, development, and innovation analyst at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). She began her career at Embrapa Agroenergy and has been with Embrapa Environment since 2018. In this role, she focuses on life cycle impact assessment and the construction of agricultural product life cycle inventories. Additionally, she is a member of the Technical Group for the RenovaBio national public policy, where she has gained extensive experience with the emissions calculation tool known as RenovaCalc.In 2013 and 2014, Anna Leticia participated in the Visiting Scientist program at the Eastern Regional Research Center of the USDA ARS in Wyndmoor Pennsylvania, where she conducted research on fast pyrolysis in a pilot plant, aimed at producing bio-oil and biochar from eucalyptus and sugarcane straw.
