Thiago Martins Santos is an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Emergencies in the Department of Clinical Medicine at the School of Medical Sciences of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Campinas, Brazil. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Queen Mary University of London, where he is leading the incorporation of Point of Care Ultrasound into the medical curriculum. She has a degree in Medicine (2002) and a residency in Internal Medicine (2005) from Unicamp, a specialisation in Intensive Care Medicine from the Brazilian Intensive Care Medicine Association - Amib (2011) and a PhD in Internal Medicine from Unicamp (2015), having studied the impact of Point of Care Ultrasound on the initial assessment of septic patients. He has experience in Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine, with projects related to the use of Point of Care Ultrasound in critically ill patients and in medical education.
