Ph.D. (2022) and M.A. (2016) in Geography from the Graduate Program in Geography at São Paulo State University (Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho UNESP), Presidente Prudente campus. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the State University of Southwest Bahia (Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia UESB), Vitória da Conquista campus (2011). Postdoctoral researcher in Territorial Studies at the Graduate Program in Territorial Studies at the State University of Bahia (Universidade do Estado da Bahia UNEB), Salvador campus (2024). Currently an Associate Professor at the University of Pernambuco (Universidade de Pernambuco UPE), based in the Geography Department, Petrolina campus. She conducts research in the following research groups: Geography and Environment of the Semi-Arid Region (UPE); Geographies: Space, Body, and Time (GECeT) (UPE); TERRITÓRIOS (Territory, Network, and Political Action) (UNEB/DCET I/PROET); and the Network of Researchers on Medium and Small Cities in Bahia. Her experience lies in Human Geography, with emphasis on Urban Geography, focusing on the following topics: Urban Space Production, Urban-Regional Systems, Medium-Sized Cities, Research Methodology in Geography, and Black Geographies. A Black woman, she founded and coordinated the Working Group on Racial Relations Studies (GTERR) in the Graduate Program in Geography at FCT-UNESP (20192022), and at the same institution, she serves as Managing Editor of the Geografia em Atos journal and the Caderno Prudentino de Geografia.
