SOUZA JUNIOR, Roberto. Urban and audiovisual anthropologist. Visiting researcher at the University of Granada (UGR-Spain), as part of his doctoral program in Social Anthropology at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar-Brazil). He works in the areas of Urban Anthropology, Anthropology of Sports Practices, and Audiovisual Anthropology. FAPESP PhD fellow (2022/14384-4|Brazil) and BEPE (2025/03366-3|Spain). Associate researcher at the Laboratory for the Study of Playful Practices and Sociability (LELuS-UFSCar), the Visual Anthropology Group (GRAVI-USP), the Research Center for Musical Anthropology (PAM-USP), and the Transmodal Ethnography Laboratory (TransMoLab-UGR). He is currently working on audiovisual ethnographies from a multimodal perspective with organized soccer fan groups that are also samba schools in the São Paulo Carnival.
