Andrés has been a Assistant Professor at the Institute of Geosciences of the University of São Paulo (IGc-USP) since 2023. Geological engineer (2014) from the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. Master (2016) and PhD (2023) in Geosciences (Mineralogy and Petrology) from the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the area of Mineralogy, Igneous Petrology and Geochemistry of endogenous processes, with an emphasis on Experimental Petrology and Geochemistry (end-loaded piston-cylinder and vertical tubular furnace under controlled redox conditions), working mainly on the following topics: genesis and evolution of primitive alkali magmas and ferroan granites, trace element partitioning, geochemical modeling and mineral chemistry.
