Alisson P. de Almeida is currently doing his PhD in behavioural neuroscience at the University of São Paulo. His research focus is on the neural bases of social behaviours. Particularly, he is interested in social defensive behaviour. To this end, he works with tools for mapping neural circuits, techniques for the functional manipulation of these circuits and methods for monitoring neural activity in freely behaving animals.
