Completed a specialization in Diagnostic Methods for Hemoglobinopathies and Tropical Hematology at the Laboratory of Medical Parasitology, Hospital das Clínicas, FMUSP (20162017), and holds a Bachelors degree in Biomedicine from the Federal University of Alfenas (2015).Has contributed to research initiatives such as ZIBRA (Zika in Brazil Real-Time Analysis), ZIBRA II, CADDE (Brazil-UK Centre for Arbovirus Discovery, Diagnosis, Genomics and Epidemiology), COSERGE (Unifying COVID-19 Genomics, Serology, and Epidemiology in Brazil), and the Amazônia +10 Initiative.Her expertise includes arboviruses and emerging/re-emerging viruses, with a focus on next-generation sequencing (NGS), molecular biology, bioinformatics, and molecular epidemiology. Her research focuses on viral genomics and epidemiology to investigate emerging viruses and to support the development of effective strategies for the detection, preparedness, and response to viral outbreaks affecting humans and animals.
