He is a computer scientist who works as chief executive officer at Turier Tech, AI deployment engineer at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, and collaborating researcher at Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto. He also works occasionally as ad-hoc reviewer for +10 indexed scientific journals, like IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, Scientific Reports, Plos One, and Biomarker Research. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering (2019) from São Carlos School of Engineering, University of São Paulo (Brazil), with a visiting scholar period (2018) at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School (USA), a MSc degree in Informatics (2015) from Institute of Computing, Federal University of Alagoas (Brazil), and a BSc degree in Computer Science (2012) from Campus Arapiraca, Federal University of Alagoas. His PhD thesis was awarded Tese Destaque USP, Engineering section, in 2020 and received an Honorable Mention in the 2020 Theses and Dissertations Contest organized by the Health-Applied Computing Special Committee of the Brazilian Computer Society. He has interest in primarily Computational Bioengineering, specifically Medical Imaging Analytics, for the discovery of quantitative markers and development of tools applied to radiomics and content-based retrieval.
