Roberto Hoffmann Palmieri

Doctorate from the program in Environment and Society from IFCH/UNICAMP (2021) including a period at Indiana University (2018), MBA in Project Management from FGV and Ohio University (2012), Master's in Applied Ecology from the University of São Paulo - USP ( 2008), degree in Agronomic Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2000) and technician in Data Processing from the Technical College of Unicamp (1994). He was a member of the CAPES Special and Training Program. Invited professor awarded at the MBA at Fundação Getúlio Vargas - FGV and at the professional master's degree at the Escola Superior de Conservação Ambiental e Sustentabilidade/IPÊ. Author of books and articles related to sustainability, protected areas and value chains. Certified by the Project Management Institute - PMI as a Project Management Professional - PMP. He has 22 years of work with attracting and implementing socio-environmental and sustainability projects, mainly in private organizations and also in public bodies. Worked from identifying opportunities and prioritizing projects to assessing impacts on the environment, people and organizations involved. His professional experience includes manager at Instituto Ekos Brasil, executive director at the Institute of Forestry and Agricultural Management and Certification www.imaflora.org, the position of Manager of PROARCO/IBAMA through the United Nations Development Program - UNDP and Director Department of the Environment at the City Hall of Governador Valadares. He worked directly with a wide variety of stakeholders including indigenous peoples, quilombola populations, settlers, rural producers, prospectors.
