In this project, which is a continuation of a previous study developed by the student, we propose the study of variation methods applied to the resolution of elliptic partial differential equations. We believe that such subject enriches the mathematical background of the student, as well as provide him better conditions to continue his studies in a graduate program in mathematics.
In this project we propose an introductory study of the main results on Functional Analysis. In a first moment, the student will study several topics on Metric Spaces Theory which will provide him the necessary knowledge to carry on the second moment of the project.
