Data Science Analytics Specialist (2022), Meteorologist, Specialist in Air Pollution and Human Health and PhD in Sciences (obtained in Pathology Department, School of Medicine, University of São Paulo). As a meteorologist is venturing in environmental epidemiology, applying a vision of earth science in discussions within the context of health sciences and environmental consulting. Develops work and analysis on the effect of environmental risk factors, such as pollution and temperature on health, in collaboration with Prof.. Dr. Paul Saldiva (USP) and experts from the Center for Studies in Environmental Epidemiology (NEEA), School of Medicine, USP and the Department of Environmental Epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health. Samya contributed to activities and studies related to the effects of climate change on human health, particularly in vulnerability and impact assessments. She is a collaborator of the Working Group 2 of the Brazilian Panel Climate Change (PBMC) and co-author of the first report of the National Assessment on Climate Change of PBMC. She worked as a research associate of the PULSE-Brazil project (http://www.pulse-brasil.org) and of the REDE-CLIMA - sector HEALTH, coordinated by Professor. Dra.
