Larissa Costa de Almeida is a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Florida. She earned her PhD in Science (Pharmacology) from the University of São Paulo. Her work focuses on the intersection of natural products, cancer pharmacology, and drug discovery, with an emphasis on developing novel therapeutic strategies from bioactive compounds. Dr. Costa de Almeida has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and is actively engaged in advancing translational oncology research. Her PhD research on the antitumor mechanisms of pradimicin-IRD earned her an Honorable Mention from the Brazilian Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (2018) and from the 2023 Capes Thesis Award (Brazil).
