Professor and Curator of Hemiptera at the Zoology Museum of the University of São Paulo, works in the Scientific Division and the Cultural Diffusion Division; She is vice-president of the MZUSP Culture and University Extension Commission. Master and PhD in Animal Biology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) with a sandwich doctorate at The Natural History Museum of London (NHMUK). Bachelor and Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Contestado (UnC). She was a postdoctoral fellow at the USP Zoology Museum. She was a substitute professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She was a teacher in the public school system in the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul and in the private school system in Paraná. She is area editor (Hemiptera) for the journals Zootaxa, Entomological Communications, Papéis Avulsos em Zoologia and Arquivos em Zoologia. She has experience in Zoology, with an emphasis on Entomology. She is dedicated to research in systematics, taxonomy, biology and biogeography of recent groups, especially Pentatomidae (Hemiptera). She has experience with teaching and extension resources and activities, being the creator of the Entomo Merian Channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/EntomoMerian).
