I am a researcher associated with the "Global Health" group at Leipzig Lab Research Centre Global Dynamics and a Ph.D. candidate in Global Studies at the University of Leipzig (Germany), funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft). I am part of the project "Pandemic Space: Understanding Quarantine and Responsibilization in Times of Corona" and a member of the working group "Medical Anthropology and Global Health" at the Free University of Berlin. I hold a Master's degree in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (2022), where I conducted research on homosexuality in the South African armed forces during apartheid. For my master's research, I carried out fieldwork in Cape Town and Stellenbosch, South Africa, with funding from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). I have a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Institute of International Relations at USP (2018). During my bachelor's studies, I conducted undergraduate research in the areas of African and Afro-Brazilian Populations and Social Markers of Difference, having been a CNPq undergraduate scholar in the project "Under the Command of a Racist God: Sexual Politics in South Africa" (MCTI/CNPQ/Universal Call), coordinated by Laura Moutinho (DA-FFLCH-USP). I was also an affiliated researcher at Stellenbosch University (South Africa) and NUMAS-USP (Center for the Study of Social Markers of Difference - University of São Paulo).
