He holds a degree in Systems Engineering (2004) and a Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science and Computer Science (2007) from Industrial University of Santander (UIS), Colombia, and a PhD in Computer Science (2018) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. He was professor at Industrial University of Santander (UIS), Colombia, Cooperative University of Colombia (UCC), Bucaramanga, Colombia, and Faculdade da Serra Gaúcha (FSG), Brasil. He is currently a pos-doctoral researcher at Public University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He has experience in computer science and software development, with emphasis on high performance processing, artificial intelligence and image processing, working mainly on the following topics: machine learning, performance evaluation, load balancing and scheduling, pattern recognition, segmentation algorithms.
