Psychologist with Masters and PhD degrees in Psychology from the University of São Paulo, including a doctoral internship at the University of Barcelona. Postdoctoral researcher at the Center for the Study of Violence (NEV-USP) and the Lise Meitner Group for Environmental Neuroscience at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. Specialist in Data Science from Johns Hopkins University. Currently a professor at Universidade Tuiuti do Paraná and a member of the international editorial board of Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (Nature Portfolio). I have served as a professor in the Talent Attraction and Retention Program at the University of São Paulo (2020-2022) and in the specialization course Criminology: Theoretical and Methodological Foundations and Applicability at USP (2023-2024). In 2019, I was awarded by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) at the XIX World Congress of Criminology in Doha, Qatar. Among other recent experiences, I highlight collaboration with UNODC on the Education for Justice university module series (2021); invited specialist participation in the Criminal System and Racism Working Group of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies Commission of Jurists (2021); teaching in the international course Psychoeducation and Violence Prevention at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Peru (2020); and specialized consultancy for Bill 6431/2019, which establishes measures for the prevention of risk factors leading to violence. I conduct interdisciplinary research on human development, focusing on violence prevention and the harmful effects of potentially traumatic experiences, as well as on the integrated fostering of personal competencies and access to social and environmental resources that foster resilience and positive development.
