PhD in Environment and Society (FAPESP scholarship) from the State University of Campinas during which he was a visiting researcher at Wageningen University Research (WUR), Netherlands. He has a degree in Economics and Politics of East Asia from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany, with stays at Tongji University, China and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Mexico. He has a Master's degree in Technology and Society from UTFPR, during which he was a collaborating researcher at the Cities and Biodiversity Studio and the Public Policies and Territorial Development Dynamics research group. His interdisciplinary experience includes environmental sociology, institutional economics, development studies, international relations and political economy.Current research focus: Institutional arrangements, Payment for ecosystem services (PES), environmental and social policies in China and Latin America.
