Carolina Martins Lazaro

Graduated in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade São Francisco (2018), has extensive expertise in general physiology, vascular physiology, biochemistry, lipid metabolism, and energy metabolism. Her research began in 2014 in the Molecular Biology and Pharmacology Lab, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Giovana Tofoli, focusing on sustained drug delivery systems. In 2015, at the Multidisciplinary Research Lab, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Fernanda Marinho Bruschi Priviero and Prof. Dr. Mario Ângelo Claudino, she specialized in cardiovascular pharmacology, studying hypertension, obesity, and antioxidant therapies.From 2016 to 2019, she worked in quality assurance at the UNIFAG bioequivalence research center. From 2019 to 2024, she pursued a direct Ph.D. at the Biology Institute of UNICAMP, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Helena C. F. Oliveira and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Ana Paula Davel, focusing on lipid and energy metabolism, with research on CETP, vascular function/dysfunction, PVAT, and sex differences in vascular regulation. She also has extensive experience with molecular biology techniques and rodent handling.Currently works at the Mitochondrial Metabolism Laboratory (UNICAMP) as a FAPESP postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Leonardo dos Reis Silveira.
