Marcelo Cunio Machado Fonseca

Marcelo Cunio Machado Fonseca holds a degree in Medicine and completed a Medical Residency in Pediatrics, specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care at the Paulista School of Medicine (EPM) of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). He also obtained a Master's Degree in Economics and Health Management, a PhD in Sciences, and a Post-Doctorate in Neurosciencefrom UNIFESP. He concluded an extension course in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health. He serves as a pediatrician and pediatric intensivist, as well as a researcher and professor. He holds the position of affiliate professor in the Gynecology Department at the EPM of UNIFESP, serves as the coordinator of the Center for Health Technology Assessment within the same department, and is a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program of the Gynecology Department at the EPM of UNIFESP. He coordinates the postgraduate course "Bioethics in the Practice of Biomedical Research"within the Department of Gynecology Postgraduate Program at EPM of UNIFESP. He is an independent consultant in Health Technology Assessment, having completed over 300 consulting projects in this field. He has multiple scientific publications in pediatrics (pediatric intensive care), gynecology, and health technology assessment. He has clinical experience in Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care.
