Raíssa Pereira Cintra de Oliveira

She is professor at Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), postdoctoral researcher at the Instituto de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo (IAU-USP) in São Carlos/SP, where she is also part of the Research Group Habitação e Sustentabilidade (HABIS) and currently coordinates the organization of the Sérgio Ferro Collection. She was involved in the project "Translating Ferro/Transforming Knowledge in Architecture, Design, and Work for a New Field of Production Studies" (TF/TK), a collaboration between Brazil and the UK funded by AHRC (UK) and FAPESP (2022-2024). She holds a PhD (2016) and a Master's degree (2008) in History and Foundations of Architecture and Urbanism from the Graduate Program of the School of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo, and graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (2002). From 2019 to 2022, she was part of the Friends of the Museum Society Group in Itapira (SAMI) and coordinated the Working Group on Small and Medium Municipalities of Brazil Cities (BrCidades). Since 2002, she has worked as a freelance architect, developing projects and overseeing construction. From 2008 to 2013, she served as the Planning and Projects Coordinator at the Infrastructure Directorate of São Paulo Turismo, the managing company for tourism-related buildings in the city of São Paulo, working on public works and overseeing bidding processes. Since 2015, she has been a faculty member at undergraduate and graduate institutions, accumulating experience in the fields of material culture, urban art, cultural preservation, history of architecture, and architectural and urban design.
