Alexandre Moreli is Associate professor of International History at the School of Social Sciences and at the Center for IR/FGV. He holds a PhD from the Institut Pierre Renouvin of Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and was visiting scholar at Columbia University (2009) and at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2010). Based on an extensive empirical research, his PhD explored the crossroads of interests between the US, Great Britain, France, Brazil, Spain and Portugal during the negotiations for civil and military control of the Atlantic from 1942 to 1948. His current interests cover the discussions on the global turn of Humanities, transatlantism and the creation of Non-Aligned movements in the decade after the Second World War.
