Edgar Eduardo Benítez Olivo received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Armed Forces University-ESPE, Ecuador, in 2008, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. In 2014, he held a visiting researcher position with the Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland. From 2016 to mid-2024, he was an Assistant Professor with the School of Engineering at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Campus of São Jõao da Boa Vista, Brazil. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UNICAMP. He has served as a reviewer for many IEEE and non-IEEE journals and has been involved as a TPC member in several conferences. His research interests lie in the area of wireless communications, with a current focus on enabling technologies for 5G and beyond 5G (B5G) wireless networks. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
