Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in the Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of São Carlos - Campus São Carlos. She has experience in molecular biology, genetics and recombinant expression of proteins with biotechnological interests. She composed, as Secretary, the management team of the Academic Center for Biotechnology at UFSCar in the years 2019-2020, carried out Scientific Initiation at the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Applied Genetics (LBGA) at the Department of Genetics and Evolution of the Federal University of São Carlos, focusing on in the recombinant expression of hydrolytic enzymes from neotropical termites aiming at the production of second generation ethanol from the deconstruction of lignocellulosic biomass. In addition, she did an internship in the area of Bioinformatics, developing activities related to gene prospection within transcriptomes of three Brazilian termite species (Heterotermes tenuis, Cornitermes cumulans and Velocitermes heteropterus) and in silico analysis of the proteins encoded by selected genes in these species. Currently, she is a PhD student at the Graduate Program in Molecular and Morphofunctional Biology at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), developing her project with a focus on enzymes applied to the deconstruction of plastics.
