Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Panamá

I have a degree in Plant Biology or Botany from the University of Panama (2014) and worked as a research assistant at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama from 2013 to 2018. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Plant Biology at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2018-2025). My experience includes plant taxonomy and ecophysiology, with a particular focus on seedling physiology and the hydraulic systems of angiosperms. In addition, I have expertise in developing potential distribution maps for CITES-listed species, collaborating on the creation of potential distribution maps for species of the genera Cedrela, Dipteryx, Handroanthus, and Tabebuia. I have also contributed to data analysis and the integration of RADAMBRASIL databases, the study of tropical wood anatomy and its relationship with hydraulic traits, as well as dendrochronology studies on Swietenia macrophylla (Meliaceae).
