Fábio Edson Mariani

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) and in Mechanical Technology Welding Processes from the São Paulo State Technological College (FATEC). Holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the São Carlos School of Engineering University of São Paulo (EESC-USP). Completed postdoctoral research in Mechanical Engineering at the Advanced Processes and Sustainability Laboratory (LAPRAS), part of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (NUMA) at EESC-USP, and postdoctoral research in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering at the Manufacturing Competence Center (CCM), a laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Division (IEM) at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA). Currently serves as an EBTT Substitute Professor at the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) and as a Ph.D. researcher at CCM-ITA, working on the prospecting and management of research, development, and innovation (RDI) projects with a multidisciplinary, integrated approach across Design, Manufacturing, and Materials Characterization. Member of the Technical Support Committee (CTA) of the DESCAAL research project (Demonstrator of Class-A Aluminum Surface Stamping), which is part of Line IV of the MOVER Program, in cooperation with automakers, toolmaking companies, startups, and system and raw-material suppliers, pooling resources to foster the neo-industrialization of the automotive sector (see the Research projects section of this CV for additional details).
