Biologist with a PhD in Genetics from the Federal University of Paraná. Postdoctoral studies in Applied Toxinology and Immunoregulation at the Butantan Institute (FAPESP scholarship) and Systems Toxicology at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Has experience in animal experiments, toxicological genetics, mutagenesis, environmental toxicology, clinical toxicology, and toxinology. Was a collaborating researcher at the Center for Toxins, Immune Response and Cell Signaling - CeTICS (CEPID/FAPESP) and the Zebrafish Platform at the Butantan Institute, where he also worked under technical training with a FAPESP scholarship. In 2020, was a trainee member of the American Immunological Association and, between 2021-22, was affiliated with the Institute of Environmental Medicine at the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Currently, is a CNPq Knowledge Brazil Researcher; associated with the Zebrafish Platform at the Butantan Institute. He coordinates the ''Microbiome'' project, which focuses on investigating alterations in the microbiome-gut-brain axis in the zebrafish model and their implications for health, systems physiology, and neuropsychiatric disorders. He describes himself as a science communicator. In the laboratory, he dedicates himself to topics such as: toxicology, the zebrafish model in biomedical research, emerging environmental contaminants, the microbiome, animal toxins, biotechnology, NAMs, conservation biology, science communication, and evolution.
