Professor and researcher at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), working at Ilum - School of Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Federal University of Uberlândia and has conducted research internships at the University of Delaware (USA) and the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (Chile), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Nanotechnology Laboratory (LNNano/CNPEM). His research focuses on condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on computational simulations of solids and molecules, prediction of topological materials, and control of electronic properties in 2D, 3D systems, and interfaces. He leads and participates in projects that integrate simulation, synthesis, and characterization of novel materials, with applications in energy, quantum devices, and data-driven materials science.
