Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Bachelor's and a Teaching Degree in Geography from the University of São Paulo and a Master's degree in Soil Science, with an emphasis on Physical and Morphogenetic Processes of Soils, from the Federal University of Santa Maria. My research interests focus on the relationship between soils and landscapes, particularly the characterization and classification of soils modified by human activity, such as Technosols and Anthrosols (according to the World Reference Base for Soil Resources), as well as SUITMAs (Soils in Urban, Industrial, Traffic, Mining and Military Areas). I completed my PhD in the Graduate Program in Physical Geography at the University of São Paulo, with an emphasis on pedogenetic processes in urban soils and structure formation. Throughout my academic journey, I conducted research internships at the University of California Riverside (USA, 2019), where I deepened my knowledge of scanning techniques for soil structure characterization, and at the Université de Lorraine (France, 2022), where I investigated the impacts of microplastics on soils. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Global Cities - Synthesis Center of the Institute of Advanced Studies (IEA) at the University of São Paulo. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
