Beatriz Mercês de Souza dos Santos

Graduate and bachelor's degree in Geography from the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - Faculty of Science and Technology (Presidente Prudente campus). She is a researcher at the Guarani Archeology and Landscape Studies Laboratory (LAG) and the Regional Archeology Museum (MAR), at the same educational institution.He has experience in the areas of curating indigenous Guarani, Kayapó and Kaingang ceramic materials, as well as Heritage Education activities, such as lectures and painting workshops on Guarani ceramics and rock art. He was a PROEX fellow in the Museums Notice (2017, 2018 2019). She developed research financed by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) entitled "The techno-typological study of Guarani ceramics from the Castelinho, Alvim and Taquaruçu archaeological sites in the Alto Rio Paraná area - SP" from 2020 to 2022. She is a master in Geography from the Postgraduate Program in Geography at UNESP in Presidente Prudente, with the research entitled "The Jesuit Reductions and the interference in the Guarani material culture of the states of Paraná and São Paulo" and is currently a doctoral student at the same educational institution with the research entitled "The Guarani material culture of the Jesuit Reductions of the Province of Paraguay (1610-1768) and the influence/interference in the archaeological sites of the state of São Paulo".
