Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Museu de Zoologia (MZ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am a museum-based ornithologist interested in the systematics, taxonomy, biogeography, and evolutionary biology of neotropical birds. I hold a bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP) and a masters degree in Zoology from the University of São Paulo (USP). My undergraduate research focused on the ecology and seasonal dynamics of Brazilian wetlands avifauna, while my graduate studies concentrated on the systematics, taxonomy, and biogeography of South American parakeets. I have participated in fieldwork projects across the Atlantic Rainforest, Amazon Rainforest, and Cerrado, and contributed to the curation of the Ornithological Collections at the Museum of Zoology of the University of São Paulo (MZUSP). I am currently a PhD student in Zoology at the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Florida (UF), where I assist with the curatorship of the Ornithological Collections at the Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH). As a doctoral researcher, I investigate the evolutionary developmental biology of neotropical birds. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
