Nathan Nunes Evangelista is a PhD student at Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. He received his chemistry B.Sc. in 2022 at University of Sao Paulo (USP). During his bachelor degree period, as a FAPESP sponsored undergraduate researcher, his focus was place on protein liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS), towards the creation of artificial biomolecular micro-reactors with potential biotechnological applications on polluted soil recuperation. Sequentially, he obtained his Master of Science in the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), under the course of Life Science and Techonolgy, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan. At this period, a special focus was given to DNA nanotechnology field, using chromatin condensates inspired models to assess its effects on nucleic acid reactions. Currently, under the orientation of Prof. Masahiro Takinoue, the mechanisms of condensates inhibition to nucleic acids reactions are under investigation, improving understanding of natural condensates formation and dynamics.
