Eduardo Gonçalves Paterson Fox

Multidisciplinary Entomologist. Graduated from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2003), and obtained Master's degree in Biophysics from Instituto de Biofísica Carlos Chagas Filho (IBCCF / UFRJ; 2005). Obtained PhD in Zoology/Biochemistry with emphasis on Myrmecology from CEIS/UNESP (2010). Postdoctoral resercher at UFRJ (2010-2013); Senior researcher at DEE/UNIL Switzerland (2013-2015), and finally as a postdoctoral fellow at CAS / SCAU China (2016-2018). Specialises on the biological aspects of fire ants, employing molecular biology and biochemistry tools, with emphasis on the venom toxinology. Seasoned field worker, and public speaker.
