Birthplace: Brazil

Chemical Engineering by the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, with a sandwich period (Double Diploma) at École CentraleSupélec ( formerly École Centrale Paris), Gif-sur-Yvette, Île-de-France, France. During graduation he assisted in the development of research projects in the area of photochemistry and photophysics of natural plant pigment analogues (anthocyanins and pyrano-anthocyanins) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Frank Herbert Quina. This mentoring promoted gaining experience with basic absorption and spectroscopic emission techniques of organic molecules in solution or adsorbed on solids (clays). Finally, it was responsible for synthesizing optimized SiO2/TiO2 composites with 30% by weight of titanium, and testing their kinetic performance under operational conditions of complete composite irradiation. With these syntheses, the objective was to generate experimental data for the parameterization of the photoreactor with the oxidation of 5 different organic pollutants and thus obtain better conditions for the treatment of contaminated air streams by advanced oxidative processes in a fluidized bed reactor. This work was supervised by Prof. Dr. Antonio Carlos Silva Costa Teixeira. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
