Daniel is a research fellow at the School of Social and Political Sciences, University of Glasgow, and a research associate at the Center for the Study of Violence, University of São Paulo (NEV/USP). Previously, he was CAPES/Pró-Defesa researcher at the Brazilian Naval War College (EGN). In 2019, Daniel received his PhD from the Department of War Studies, King's College London (KCL). Before joining KCLs post-graduate programme in 2014, Daniel was a Konrad Adenauer Fellow in European Studies at Getulio Vargas Foundations School of Social Sciences (CPDOC/FGV) in Rio de Janeiro. His research interests are: security technologies, biometric surveillance, facial recognition, and predictive policing. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
