Holds a Bachelor's degree (2011) and a Master's degree (2015) in Mathematics from the Universidad de Los Andes (validated by the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG) and a Ph.D. (2020) in Mathematics from the State University of Campinas. During his Ph.D., he conducted research internships at the Universidad del Litoral (2019) and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2020). He has expertise in Mathematics, with an emphasis on Dynamical Systems, focusing mainly on the following topics: Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, Discontinuous Dynamical Systems, and Complex Analysis. Recently, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Biosciences, Humanities, and Exact Sciences of UNESP, São José do Rio Preto campus, and another at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in Barcelona, Spain. We will study the behavior of the orbits of the regularized systems around tangential degenerate singularities using the techniques of geometric theory of singular perturbations.We will investigate the regularization of tangential polycycles for Filippov systems.We will also study piecewise Holomorphic systems.
We will study the number of limit cycles of piecewise holomorphic systems, which is related to the famous Hilbert Problem 16 for piecewise vector fields.
