Lucas got BSc degree in Biological Sciences by the Centro Universitário do Distrito Federal (UDF). During his undergraduate studies, he became a fellow at the Brazilian federal agency EMBRAPA Genetic Resources and Biotechnology and at the Center for Proteomics and Biochemistry Analysis, developing research projects about proteins and their chemical and biological aspects. Currently, he is a double degree PhD Student at the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil) and University of Groningen (The Netherlands), working with Structural Biology of proteins through techniques such as chromatography, SAXS, X-ray crystallography, Cryo-EM, calorimetry analyses, mass spectrometry, molecular dynamics, and other Biophysics and Biochemistry methods.
