Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am a biologist with a degree from the Federal University of Uberlândia, a master's in Plant Biology from the Federal University of Pernambuco, and a Ph.D. in Ecology from the State University of Campinas. I completed an internship abroad at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the State University of Campinas, where I investigate large-scale evolutionary processes, focusing on the adaptations of the silver moss Bryum argenteum. I have extensive experience in bryophyte reproductive biology, desiccation ecophysiology, and population ecology. My work includes studies on reproductive phenology, reproductive allocation, reproductive cost, sex ratio, and sexual expression of bryophytes. I was recognized by the American Bryological and Lichenological Society with the award for the best Ph.D. project of 2019, and I had an article selected as a highlight in the Annals of Botany journal.
