Birthplace: Peru

PhD in Physics from the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC) - University of São Paulo - Brazil. I did a Research Internship at the Centre d'optique, photonique et lasers (COPL) - Université Laval - Canada, with experience in optics, automation, development and applications in Physics, and My Chemical Romance as a favourite band. Fascinated by the world of glasses, I fabricate different sorts of tellurite glasses (based on tellurium dioxide) doped with rare-earth ions for applications such as luminescent material, optical thermometry, optical communications and to study their structural properties. Further, motivated by the nano-photonics, I investigate plasmonic structures in metallic films on these glasses to control polarization states and plasmon-quantum emitter interaction, both simulations and experiments. I perform the simulations using the software Lumerical FDTD. Besides, I have experience as a teaching assistant at the São Carlos Institute of Physics, supporting professors and students. I conducted advanced Physics experiments, employed ITs for online classes, participated in the revision and preparation of didactic material, and monitored students' progress.
