PhD in Sciences from the Department of Psychobiology at Escola Paulista de Medicina of Universidade Federal de São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP), with an emphasis on Medicine and Sociology of Drug Abuse, where he developed a project in partnership with the Department of Health Informatics (DIS-UNIFESP) and Uppsala University (Sweden), creating the TrIE-AD application (Screening, Intervention, and Referral - Alcohol and Other Drugs). He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Postgraduate Program in Education and Health in Childhood and Adolescence, affiliated with the Department of Education at the School of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences of UNIFESP (EFLCH-UNIFESP), where he develops the #Conexão Project. The initiative comprises three main axes: (1) cross-cultural adaptation and evaluation of an intervention program for family members of adolescents who use psychoactive substances (Community Reinforcement and Family Training - CRAFT), conducted in collaboration with Guilford Press and researchers from the University of New Mexico (United States); (2) adaptation and validation of instruments for assessing protective behaviors and stigma related to substance use, involving researchers from the Public Health Department / Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw (Poland), the Center of Alcohol, Substance Use, and Addictions (CASAA) at the University of New Mexico (United States), and Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF); and (3) development of digital technologies to support research processes and intervention practices, carried out in collaboration with researchers and technicians from DIS-UNIFESP. In parallel, he works on the development of digital tools as a support strategy for people exhibiting problematic gambling behavior associated with the use of online sports betting platforms. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (UNIVALI); an Advanced Training Certificate in Mental Health and Psychosocial Care for Adolescents and Youth from Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ); specialization in Neuropsychology and specialization in Psychopathology and Mental Health from Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC); and is currently completing a specialization in Drugs, Society, and Educational Practices from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He serves as a researcher at the Drug Dependence Unit (UDED-UNIFESP), at the Interdisciplinary Center for Studies in Neuroscience, Health, and Education in Adolescence (CIENCIA-UNIFESP), and at the Laboratory of Basic and Applied Cognitive Psychology at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (LPCog/UFSC). He also collaborates on projects with the Laboratory for Studies and Research in Mental Health and Psychosocial Care at the National School of Public Health (LAPS/ENSP) of FIOCRUZ, the Brazilian Center for Information on Psychotropic Drugs (CEBRID), É de Lei - Community Center for Harm Reduction (São Paulo), and Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain). He is Deputy Coordinator of the Brazilian Network on Science and Education about Alcohol and Other Drugs (ReEduca-AD) and a member of several national and international associations, including the Associação Brasileira de Psicologia e Medicina Comportamental (ABPMC), the Associação Brasileira Multidisciplinar de Estudos sobre Drogas (ABRAMD), the International Network on Brief Interventions for Alcohol and Other Drugs (INEBRIA), the Confederación de Adolescencia y Juventud para Iberoamérica, Italia y Caribe (CODAJIC), and the Coletivo Intercambiantes Brasil. He develops integrated research, teaching, and outreach activities focused on mental health, prevention, psychological treatment, harm reduction, and health promotion, and is the author/editor of 11 national books, 7 international books, and numerous book chapters, technical-pedagogical materials, and scientific articles.
