Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Lavras (2004), Master in Agronomy (Soil and Plant Nutrition) from the University of São Paulo (2006) and Ph.D. in Agronomy (Soil and Plant Nutrition) from the University of São Paulo (2010). He holds a postdoctoral degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Since 2011 he has been a researcher at the Brazilian Biorenewables National Laboratory (LNBR-CNPEM). He works as PhD advisor in the Integrated PhD Program in Bioenergy (UNICAMP, USP and UNESP). He has experience in the sustainability of tropical soils and agroindustry residue management, working mainly on the following topics: soil quality, land use change, soil carbon stocks and N2O emissions from agricultural soils. He is interested in investigating the main mechanisms and processes associated with carbon storage and N2O emissions from tropical soils. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
