Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). Campus São Paulo. Escola Paulista de Medicina (EPM)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor in Biomedicine at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) / Paulista School of Medicine (EPM), completed a Practical Internship in Genetics with an emphasis on cytogenetics and molecular biology at the Department of Morphology and Genetics, and in Health Informatics at the Department of Biochemistry, both at UNIFESP. During the Scientific Initiation research (FAPESP 2021/04591-0), identified and analyzed Copy Number Variations (CNVs) in a Brazilian high-risk cohort for mental disorders, working with genomic data and bioinformatics. This is considered the largest CNV study in a Brazilian sample and one of the largest in the world considering the psychiatric phenotype and trio analysis. Currently, she is a PhD Student (FAPESP 2024/02453-7) in the Graduate Program in Molecular Biology, with the aim of producing an integrated risk calculator for mental disorders using CNVs, polygenic risk score (PGS), and miRNA expression. Has bench experience with DNA and RNA extraction from tissue. Participated in and organized various extracurricular activities throughout the undergraduate program, including serving as the director of publicity for the Biomedicine Sports Department for 4 years. Attends conferences and courses both within and outside the university, presenting posters and being nominated for awards. Dedicated to learning bioinformatics, large-scale genomic data analysis, molecular biology, and psychiatric genetics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
