I am a biologist with a master degree in Plant Biology. I also hold a MBA degree in Data Science and Analytics. Currently, I am a phD candidate investigating on sustainable forest management and multifunctional restoration approaches that deliver not only ecological benefits but also promote socioeconomic development. I am part of the Ecology and Forest Restoration research group at ESALQ-USP, led by Prof. Ricardo R. Rodrigues, where I investigate the integration of forest restoration with sustainable timber production, non-timber forest products, and ecosystem services as an alternative approach to help forest restoraton achieve large scales by promoting forest recovery, biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and income generation for people. I was awarded by the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB) as one of the most important researchs to foster economy and forestry market, particularly in relation to sustainable forestry production, its challenges and prospects. I am currently conducting a research internship at Yale School of the Environment, Yale University, under the supervision of Prof. Mark Ashton, expanding my research on sustainable forest management and large-scale restoration.
