Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Faculdade de Zootecnia e Engenharia de Alimentos (FZEA)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a Bachelor's and Licentiate degree in Chemistry. Completed both a Master's and Ph.D. in the Physics and Chemistry of Materials program (FQMat) at the Federal University of São João Del-Rei (UFSJ). Specializes in ceramic materials and clinker-free cements, with extensive experience in the production and characterization of geopolymeric cements based on fly ash, blast furnace slag, and waste from mining and ceramic production.Conducted postdoctoral research in the Mechanical Engineering Program (PPMEc) at UFSJ and at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET), focusing on microstructural analysis and its correlation with mechanical strength and physical properties of alkali-activated materials. Currently a researcher at the College of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA) at the University of São Paulo (USP), working within the Department of Biosystems Engineering. His research focuses on the durability of cementitious composites reinforced with lignocellulosic fibers, using MgO and MgSO4-based matrices. Part of this research was conducted at the NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA) and the Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability (Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability - CERIS), investigating accelerated aging processes in magnesium-based fiber cement. Worked as a visiting researcher with the Manchester CREATES research group (Concrete Materials, Resource Efficiency, and Advanced Technology for Sustainability) at the University of Manchester (UoM), working on the carbonation kinetics of MgO-based cements and microstructural changes in inorganic binders. The researcher is part of the Research Nucleus on Materials for Biosystems (BioSMat) and collaborates with the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Civil Engineering at the University of Manchester.
