Jimena Gabriela Siles Paredes

As a graduate of Biomedical Engineering in Bolivia, I had the opportunity to apply my profession in several areas of expertise. The three years of work experience that I had the joy of living made it possible to detect how much remains, as a Third World country, to establish a career in Biomedical Engineering as indispensable for the development of medical technology. Later, the post specialized in Clinical Engineering allowed me to deepen my knowledge about the management of medical technology. Finally, my entry into academic activities as a professor and director made me even more interested in the important thing that is research. At the end of the year 2020 I finished my master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at UFABC in Brazil and my project and work is oriented towards the processing and analysis of cardiac cardiac signals. In 2021, I began my Ph. D. in Biotechnosciences at UFABC as a FAPESP scholarship holder associated with my supervisor's Young Researcher project. My project uses both optical and electrical mapping to study the electrophysiology of the heart during AF. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
